FREE LINUX INFORMATION CENTER

One of the core concepts of the FLIC's is that they are written by linux newbies who struggled with something, and now want to make it easier for people in the future. Newbies helping newbies. What makes this concept unique is the user feels comfortable asking questions and getting the direct help they were looking for. In the linux world, when you present a question to a 'guru' you are quickly faced with a new acronym--RTFM. This acronym stands for, Read The F$%#ing Manual. Free Linux is trying to take the intimidation factor out. Not only does this concept work great for the newbie, but also generates support for advanced users as well as they may pick up on certain things from other contributors. Free Linux concept creates a positive cycle of learning and teaching for both newbies, intermediates, and advanced users. The authors are users of this site, so questions are easy to come by. FLIC's will change the way users perceive Linux.

So if you have been intimidated by learning a different operating system, hopefully you can find a home here. What makes linux so strong is that people don't just use Linux, they also contribute back to it.
